    Calm down with Pavlk

People need to calm down. With everything ive been hearing, I would think this guy knocked out Jermain Taylor, Winky Wright, Felix Trinidad, and Bernard Hopkins in the same night with 1 punch.

He beat Edison Miranda. A guy who has never won a title, is just a prospect, and seemed very weight drained or whatever. They guy didnt have the snap in his punches like he usually doesn. I dont really know what the deal was there.

Good win for Pavlik and in impressive fashion. But he jst beat another prospect and everyone is going nuts. Why? Because hes white probably. Hes good, got a good win, but is recieving way to many awards and credit, and hype.

Is this the same guy who got tagged almost at will by Zertuche? And the guy who got hit with about 5 telegraphed right hands in a row by Miranda? His defense is horrible and he cant count on just being able to take punches.

I say Taylor beat him, and easily. Taylor is no Miranda, and Pavlik is no Spinks. Spinks boxed well and moved fast and counterd well against Taylor, something Pavlik wont be able to do. Pavlik's defense blows and I see Taylor getting at him and winning easy.

His defense is very good. Those five consecutive right hands were all blocked, he landed one at the end though. but the gameplan was to just press forward, and ur gonna take a few shots.

Hell, PAVLIK doesnt even NEED a good defense. That chin is world class
People are going crazy because he's one of the few big guys in the sport thats both talented AND wildly entertaining.

It's hard not to like him.

he does everything well. He showed some tricks, some very good defense, good balance for the most part (he got overanxious at times), and he improved a lot since Zertuche.

He's also a guy that clearly only wants the best, is clearly not only in this game for the money, and he clearly is still learning improving.

I cant wait to see how this kids career shapes up

Yeah thats why I like him as well. Plus he seems patient in the ring. I was watching the fight with Pierre today on Versus and I noticed how he just methodically demolished him. He was totally outclassing Pierre and he was in his hometown so you know they wanted to see a KO, but he wasn't pressing for it and getting wild and wearing himself out. He was throwing tons of punches and just like in the Miranda fight most of them seemed pin point and accurate. Plus he is ambidextrious (i don't know if thats how you spell it) so either hand he has power in. I agree that Taylor could very well beat him, but Pavlik will bring something that will challenge Taylor.
