i'm not buying into the indestructible tyson. if someone told me that a young tyson would walk through lewis, klitschko, valuev, etc, i would have to laugh.

lewis could beat him - btw, which version of lewis are we talking about here?

vitali would beat him - if 6 rounds of toe to toe with lewis didn't bother him, i don't think little tyson would. tyson would probably be an easier fight.

valuev - i have no friggin' clue. i just figure that there is no way tyson will be able to connect with valuev's jaw. at least not very easily. and valuev has the advantage of throwing down, from way up high, on tyson. perhaps tyson could outbox him, but i'm not so sure he could ko the big guy.

1986 Iron Mike Tyson was Invincible.
lol! tyson, 2 years in the game would beat seasoned vets like vitali and lennox.

i also take into consideration that tyson was part of don king's hype machine. and i know how don works. i don't buy into hype easily, so you guys are going to have to excuse me if i don't believe that tyson from 1986 or '87 is unstoppable.

Almost every single fight that Vitali won was by a ko. He's one of the strongest hitters in the heavy weight division today. He wobbled Lennox, something tyson couldn't do that well. Prime Tyson has never ever fought anyone as good as Lennox or Vitali. This topics the most ridiculous thing when Tyson nutt-huggers are trying to say that Tyson could beat these giants who surpassed tyson in skill aswell. Not only do they have longer reach, but they're both probably stronger then him and have a longer reach.

tyson was not tyson when he fought lennox lewis man. He was a shell of his prime self. Frank bruno was no BUM and tyson made him look like the muffin man.

The only Heavyweight today who would give Young Tyson a Run for his money would be Wlad. Klitschko. Ya have to admit, other than the Klitschko Brothers there really ain't that many "Good" Heavyweights today.

Of course, the same Bruno who had lewis beat and threw it away,

Lewis 'cemented his legacy' by fighting holyfield, a blown up cruiser who was arguably past it, and a well past it tyson,

Other than that, who has he beat, Michael Grant? David Tua?

              lol.

Seriously, a fully focused tyson was untouchable.

untouchable to the best fighters in a weak era. he wouldnt have been untouchable had lewis and the klits been around then. he never faced a guy with both a combination of size,,power and good technique. the closest was douglass who finally happened to take a fight seriously and got himself into great condition and squashed tyson. buster hits no where near as hard as lewis or the klits

I think he would have trouble, and not KO them with the ease he did back wen he was in his 20's.

Technically none of them are in his class, and he could handle most with comfortably. But some would be tough to hurt and wear him down physically.
I still think at his best he would be able to out move them and be too fast for nearly all of them.
He would beat alot of them on points. And lose a handful.

Douglas hit Tyson alot and it took him 10 rounds. Tyson was not at his best.
Lewis took 8 rounds and Tyson was near retirement.
                    Lewis is an ATG.
                    The fighters of today arent.

Douglas fought an expectional fight. I dont think one of the giant heavyweights round today could fight like that. They are bigger and slower. Douglas didnt beat Tyson because of his size, but his style and his gameplan. IMO. The big weight advantage certainly helped, but Tyson could handle the vast majority of heavyweights of the same size.

Tyson was a tough boy and could take his punishment. Noone would have an easy match with Tyson. Who knows what would happen with Ali, Lennox, Vitali etc. But they would have had to nail him to the floor.
At his best Tyson was fearsome. Tony Tucker said he was beatable but there just werent anyone around to do it at the time.
