James “Lights Out” Toney and his wife, Angie welcomed a future champion to the world when 7lb, 1oz. son Jaden was born at 8:15 am on Monday May 21. Angie and the baby are doing fine, as is the champ. Jaden is the couple’s 6th child.
38 year-old Toney 69-6-3 (43) returns to the ring on Thursday night May 24 when the former seven-time world champion headlines Goossen Tutor’s “American Metal and Iron Fight Night at the Tank” in San Jose, California, USA against Danny Batchelder 25-4-1 (12) in a scheduled 10-round, non-televised heavyweight contest.
“We would like to congratulate James and Angie on the new addition to the Toney family,” promoter Dan Goossen said. “The baby is a knockout and James mindset now is to take care of business Thursday at the Tank re-establishing his stature amongst the best heavyweights in the world and to rush back home to see the kids.”
