Did Manny ever yell at him in the corner for not keepin his hands up? Can't remember, but wouldn't be surprised if he went buck wild on him between rounds like he did this past weekend.

i posted this already but whatever....

lets put it this way:

Better jab: winky
good jab dictates pace of fight as well as the range and rhythm.

Better defence: winky
He can cover up and pick off shots, he did it against Taylor.

Better stamina: winky
He has Always shown up for every fight plus he's the younger fighter. he's gunna train his ass off, the more hops talks more fuel to the fire.

Hight advantage: Hop
Yup he has the hight advantage, but winky is the naturally bigger man he's stocky and built for stamina and work rate.

Smarter fighter: tie
The both are very cerebral fighters it's gunna be a chess match.

Power: tie
Winky works with the accumulative power shots, but he doesn't put his body into it, it keeps him defensively sound. hopkins rolls into his power shots, but ya need to land them when in an exchage with someone who leaves themself open. both guys have not KOed anyone of recent.

Chin: tie
both guys have great chins and haven't shown any signs of weakness.

Body:???
hopkins has never had an accumulative body attack when he has, he has fought inside to take away this advantage and grinded out victories. Winky has the better defense of the two.

Over all better offense: Hopkins
but not by much, he uses body movement and shiftiness to beguile his opponents, but you need big pauses in the fight, a good jab can thwart that. Winky uses a steady work rate and constant pressure to pile up the points.

Weight: non factor
winky walks around at 180-170 not gonna be a problem. he's not going to have to cheat or drop weight like he normally does. this weight could actually work in his favor!


It's gonna be a UD but a SD for TV purposes make it more dramatic but a win for Winky. not an easy win but he will win.

we must remember De la hoya was owning hop till abound round 8 when. de la out boxed the bigger man and used speed, Winky is deceptively fast, Taylor knows that. i can't wait!!!!!

^^^ good evaluation...and yes I can't wait either..and this is going to be a good fight, not boring...how can anyone say that when u have a pressure fighter with awesome D that loves to trade inside by any means...versus a slick timing counter-puncher that can adapt to any style.....Winky WILL make this a fight, as for B-Hop...he'll always try to have it his own pace and thats what makes the bout so interesting.....both are dictators in that ring....

and lets not forget Hopkins is like 11-0 vs. southpaws....its more his preference..... i have a feeling bernard's gonna have real fun figuring out the puzzle of winkster...

R winky Wright! Sorry to say u are dead wrong on 2 things. 1 B Hopkins has more power. 2 B Hopkins has a better chin. 3 B Hopkins is smarter. BTW I aint bashing Winky Wright but I dont see Hopkins winning this one. I am going for Hopkins But Winky has the best defense in boxing tied with PBF. Only way B Hop can beat him is by doing alot of side to side moving and coutering with some realy realy fast left and right straights. I would clinch alot also.

Is it true that freddie Roach is trainig B-Hop? I had no idea of this. Jim Rome said yesterday that he was trainig at the Wild Card Gym with Freddie Roach?

^^ in an interview, B-Hop said Freddie Roach is working with him...so I guess?...but not his actual trainer, still...Freddie Roach now has to figure out Winky's D....as if Floyd wasn't bad enough...

I say Hop will win because he is a great fighter and will push the fight all the way through. People say just because taylor beat hop twice and winky drew with him that winky will win. You can't make that comparison cause B Hop and Taylor are two different fighters. Wright will not be able to get hopkins in trouble like he did with taylor. Reason being is that hopkins is way more experienced than taylor and he won't allow hisself to get caught in that situation. I vote hopkins to pull off a split decision win.
