Jermaine Taylor VS Kelly Pavlic (WHO WINS?)

Even though Taylor didn't sound like facing Pavlic was somthing he would enjoy, if the fight happens who would win?

If Taylor would use that Jab the way he should he'd be very hard for anybody to beat. Taylor isn't as powerfull as his physique would indicate and Pavlik is a discipline and determined fighter obviously with tremendous power.

There's no doubt in my mind.... Pavlik either by UD or KO in the late rounds. I just hope Taylor agrees to fight him. No disrespect to Taylor (He's the current champion) but Pavlik seems like the perfect candidate to knock him off the throne. He's seems so much bigger. I hope they agree to fight, though... boxing really needs a big fight between two big names, hopefully one that ends in a knockout. I'd really love to see the fight, though...

Taylor, if he would just use his jab. Pavlik doesnt look like he is hard to hit, plus he looks awkward and unsteady. I dont think he could bully Taylor into the ropes like he did to Miranda.

Pavlik throws too much for Taylor to handle it. Taylor would have to be on defense mood and counter all night long to win a decision. But I think Pavlik can ko Taylor.

            depends wich taylor shows up
If he uses his jab and goes back to his old self... than Taylor would win a decision
if he shows up like he did in his last fight Pavlik would win

I think this is a very good and close fight. People seem down on Taylor and high on Pavlik after last weekend (with good reasons) but I think the fight is a toss up. Taylor when he uses his jab is very effective with the straight 1-2...Pavlik showed against Miranda that while he has a chin, he is also available to be hit. Taylor punches straighter and faster than Miranda and I think would land more punches. Pavlik has been down before although I think after this past fight it is safe to say his chin is solid. Pavlik also presents style problems for Taylor if Taylor continues to fight backing up into the ropes. If he continues to drift to the ropes he will be punished by "the ghost" much worse than when he fought Winky. My prediction right now is Pavlik by close decision or late round KO. The kid showed me a lot and really impressed me. I think he has the tools to be a great MW champion. Here is to hoping this fight gets made instead of Taylor-Calzaghe (who Taylor would be absolutely annhiliated by).

Pavlik stops Taylor, Period. I just don't think the fight will happen , After all Pavlik is a middleweight, just to big for Taylor. Now if he was a welterweight or small Jr middleweight maybe. Taylor might just be the first middleweight champion to never fight a real middleweight after winning the title.

Taylor was bullied into the ropes by Winky, and even by Ouma on occasion.

Its almost impossible to tell. It would all depend on weather Taylor uses his jab and lets his hands go. I think Taylor should be able to work off the jab and land right hands, quite easily if of course he comes to fight.
Pavlik can seriously throw Taylor off his game by applying constant pressure with power. I could also easily see Taylor going into defense mode and being out hustled.
