As you all know my two favorite fighters have suffered brutal losses but you know what while it sucks and I don't like it I would rather see them give it their all and go in there and get their asses kicked than fight a sheltered ***** made career and start talking about fighting for paydays only rather than proving they are the best before they hit the age of 30 ala Jermain "NO Intentions of proving I am the best" Taylor. My fighters are warriors win or lose and will fight anyone anywhere and have proven that.....I still support them win or lose.

Taylor is a kid when it comes to choosing fights.. I don't think he has any say in who he fights like other fighters... Lou D. kinda controls him completely i think.

because he is scared to fight a guy who may hit him back as hard as he hits.DiBella knows he will fold and Taylor knows he will fold......I'd rather see him go out trying than hiding behind a promoter......Manny Steward more or less told him the same thing in the ring that night.Manny will quit soon if Taylor does'nt start fighting up to his potential.

It was very hard for me to watch Whitaker/Trinidad, Toney/Peter II and Morales/Pacquiao II & III.

In Whitaker's case, the bout with drugs and booze had taken it's toll and his physical abilities were so worn at that point. You could still see some of the great skill he once possessed, but his body just wouldn't respond. Trinidad really busted him up that night, but I am still proud of Pernell for taking his like a man.

The second Toney/Peter fight was much the same. Toney is an old man, well past his best days, who struggles with his weight. again, you could see that the skill was still lingering, but his body just couldn't do everything he was once capable of. Couple that with the fact that James didn't have the power to hurt Peter and it just spelled trouble. James took some monstrous shots from Peter, but he never succumbed to the punishment. Gotta give him some love for going out on his shield.

Same is pretty much true with Morales. It was very hard for me to watch him take a beating like that from Pacquiao, but he took his beating and gave the fans what they wanted. Morales could have called it a day after the first Pacquiao fight....a lock for the HOF. Instead we got to see one of the very few warriors that we have left in this sport sacrifice himself for his fans. The end of Erik's career was part of the reason why he should receive a lot more praise than many of his contemporaries. He never ducked a hard fight, he always gave the fans what they wanted, and he always let his heart speak for him. Erik was special...in time I hope people remember just how great he was, in the ring and out of it.

Im glad I havn't seen that day...

It would be a very sad day for me, and Id need some time before it really would settle in that one of my 3 fighters is not undefeated anymore.

God willing, that won't happen anytime soon. Although I understand it is inevitable for 95% of pro boxers.

I'm a Roy fan, and I was young when I saw him get KO'd. It was surreal.

Finding out Toney tested positive for roids after the Ruiz fight was rough, same with Toney/Peter 2. Watching Lacy get beat down against Calzaghe hurt too.
