I finally saw Lacy's comeback a few weeks ago. He looked a lot better than I expected until his injury. He did well to get to the end of that fight, even if he shouldn't have had the decision.
I'm hoping Calzaghe didn't ruin him forever. The pre 2006 Lacy would be a match for anyone else in the SMW ranks. He'd certainly walk through Pavlik as I haven't seen enough proof there that he could outbox him.;Comment

Lacy is a very good fighter. Hes just not GREAT as Calzaghe. think of it like this, Pavlik aint a 'great' boxer. But Lacy has power and he aint as RAW as Miranda. I can only see a KO by LacyComment

Ok, Did any of you watch Lacys comeback fight in Florida? He was not up against a "good" boxer. But in my mind he lost the fight and he got rocked at least a few times.Lacy was badly beaten by a better boxer not brawler. Could Pavlik beat him? Maybe, that's if he boxes Lacy. Outbrawling Lacy is a another story. I don't think there are too many active fighters today that would out brawl Lacy. He does his best work when a fighter stays in front of him & not to mention Pavlik would have to move up to Lacy's weight class to fight him which would be an advantage for Lacy.
Pavlick is 6'2 a big middleweight. His natural weight is super middleweight. He rehydrated to 169 pounds in the last fight.Comment

Did you know that Lacy fought with a torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder in the 2nd round? Do you know how hard that must have been to finish the fight like that? He could barely hold that arm up which made him more susceptible to getting hit with unnecessary punches. Think about that & what the difference would've been had Lacy not hurt himself inthe 2nd round. Now rethink your own synopsis.Ok, Did any of you watch Lacys comeback fight in Florida? Lacy may be damaged goods at this point.Atleast mentally...I think Pavlik would probadly outwork him for a UD.But if Lacy showed up in top form, who knows?Comment

I agree with this; the mistake a lot of other posters keep making is assuming that Pavlik always fights like he did against Miranda. Against Lacy he'd have to box, and it's hard to tell the outcome because there are unknowns on both sides.Lacy was badly beaten by a better boxer not brawler. Could Pavlik beat him? First of all Lacy tore his rotator cuff in his comeback fight. I guess people dont realize how much pain it is to even move your arm let alone throw a punch. Lacy is a lot more polished than Miranda is, and has equal power. If we are talking pre Calzaghe Lacy then its a close fight.Comment

Same injury Klit got against Byrd, so Lacy should get a pass on that fight.First of all Lacy tore his rotator cuff in his comeback fight.
