    Kelly Pavlik scared Taylor

I truly believe Pavlik sent a message to the entire boxing world that he is the best middleweight on the planet today. I do not believe there is anyone who wants to fight him based on last night's performance. It's hard to believe anyone would be demanding a fight with him after that massacre. Edison Miranda was considered the #1 contender by the majority of the boxing community. He's also a hell of a fighter/puncher.

When Larry Merchant asked him if he wanted to fight Pavlik, I sense some worry in Taylors voice, especially when he threw in "If the money is right" comment. True Champions should be fighting the BEST fighters.

Taylor still has much to prove. Beating the likes of Cory Spinks and Kassim Ouma will not get you the big paychecks you are seeking. He may be the champion on paper, but he does not look like a champion in the ring.

I doubt Taylor is scared of skinny ass(but I see he has power) Pavlik. He just wants most of the money for the fight to be made.

This is where Joe Calzaghe should play off Taylor and Kessler and take a fight with Pavlik. But people on here said he won't do that after the performance pavlik put on last night. I think Pavlik's unstoppable.

That's just it. Taylor is a weak champion. He doesn't want to fight the best just as Floyd. He just wants who will bring him the most money. I say f**k them with that attitude, they are bad for the sport.

The money is determined by HBO really and HBO seemed to want Pavlik. So let's say Taylor wants another former welter or superwelter champ then HBO can shut its door on him.

          If the money's right? Pls!

He's an hbo protected fighter, he'll find a way around pavlik. He realizes this isn't the same pavlik he won a decision against in the amatuers.

I had Miranda winning the fight before last night but lets be real. Pavlik has 0 defense. To say he is the absolute best is reaching. He will always have a punchers chance but any MW with good lateral movement, a jab and some defense could cruise to a win against Pavlik.

Infact I cant stand JT, I think he lost his last 4 out of 5 but I dont even see Pavlik beating him and if Jermaine is still standing at the end of 12 you can definetly forget it regardless of how the fight goes.

Well Honestly! Maybe u'll disagree but I think its difficult to not just go after the money. Fighter this day in age dont want to prove they are the best. Just MONEY MONEY MONEY I only see a few who want to prove how great they are to the sport...and am sure I'll forget to name some. Hopkins Winky DLH Pacman Joan Guzman and many more. I don't see how people can think that Pavlik has no chance against Jermain. Ok Pavliks defense is not the best, but it is decent, and he showed tonight that he can **** with a very hard puncher, and still keep an outstanding pace.

Jermain will get pummeled in a fight with Pavlik with pretty much no chance of knocking Pavlik out. He would have to win by decision if his lazy ass could even make it through 12 rounds.

He won't have a chance to stand around like he could with Winky and Hopkins. Pavlik will stay on him, and wear him the **** out, all while punching him harder then hes ever been hit before. No chance for Taylor period.

I wouldn't go as far to say Taylor has no chance. But based on his last 5 fights, he has not done enough to prove to the world he can convincingly take on a fighter like Pavlik. His last 5 fights, im my opinion, have raised more questions about hits fighting ablity then raise him to the top of the boxing game. Similar situation with Ricky Hatton. Since beating Kosta Tsyzu, he has looked poor in the ring.

It's time for Taylor to step up and shutup all the critics, or else he fans will continue to question him.
