Plain and simple. He knew what he needed to do. In the first rounds he saw how much faster Cory was than him. He didn't want to chase Cory all night and make himself look bad after all the criticisms from the Ouma fight. I don't think he's lost his skill. His confidence has taken a hit. His attitude was Cory has to really fight me to take my belts. Also he might feel the fans don't love his style or the way he fights, he will just mainly fight for the money.
