HBO commentators said it who have been sucking off Miranda for months now. Miranda went to 173 by fight time and Pavlik 171, so was Kelly weight drained also.

They both seemed to tire pretty quickly to me. Pavlik still would have won by KO if they were both 100% because he had a smart ass game plan and stuck by it.

Once you step in the ring there are no excuses. I think once he realized he couldn't hurt Pavlik it was over. He is all about the KO if that doesn't work then he has no plan B, he's the middle weight version of Mayorga.

I actually thought about the Mayorga comparison aswell. His intimidation didn't work and that discouraged him and he basically tried to prove he could take a shot and he had heart after a short time. He had no plan B when Pavlik had no fear of him or his punch.

probably not anymore than usual. Both of these guys should be fighting at 168 and are monsterous in size for middleweights. Miranda has been doing this for years and to speculate that it finally caught up with him because of being a few ounces over at the scales is a little premature. Pavlik just beat his ass regardless of weight drain or not.
