    Question for Trainers and Fighters?

Is it possible that Taylor is the type of fighter that looks good while training for a fight but on fight night resorts back to old habits? I say this because prior to the fight Emmanual Stewart was happy with what he saw Taylor doing in training camp and thought Taylor was improving. What makes a fighter look great in training camp but horrible on the night of the fight. Has anyone on this forum as a boxer or trainer ever experienced anything like this?

You can't really take much of anything said prefight at face value. It's not like Emmanual Stewart is going to say he looked bad in training.

Its quite simple, Emanuel Steward lied. Hes not gonna say, Im not happy with Taylor, he is doing really ****ty in training. That would be losing the mental battle before the fight.

This is not the first time I have heard of a fighter looking great in training camp but horrible on fight night. That is why I specifically addressed my question to boxers and trainers because they would have a better sense of why this happens rather than a spectator looking in from the outside.
