Kelly Pavlik: Middleweight version of Paul Williams???

Did anyone else also saw Kelly Pavlik as the middleweight version of Paul Williams?

Both are tall, lanky, packs a lot of power, with good boxing skills but also could be reckless at times. They know how to use their height and reach to their advantage, their fighting styles are so similar as well. I think the similarity between these two fighters is uncanny

I would say he is a better puncher, but does not seem to move as well as Williams. And I am not sure yet if Paul's chin can hold up to Pavlik's in p4p sense

No they are nothing alike.... Williams is fraud who beats up guys 2 divisons smaller than him.. and still has trouble.. And I have seen NOTHING in Willams to suggest he a BIG puncher.. He is just ALWAYS much bigger than his opponents..

I would say, in a sense, Pavlik looks a lot like Calzaghe but with more power and maybe a little less workrate. Oh yes, and a lack of defense.

Pavlik hits much harder and uses his size more

But Williams is a very good mover for a tall guy,he uses brilliant head and body movement, and he is great on the inside

They arent the same. The only thing u can compare is they both throw ALOT of punches

The only similarity is that they are both freaks for their weightclass , williams uses his height better then pavlik, and the fact that williams is so tall and a southpaw he should dominate welterweight not just win but destroy opponents. Pavlik dehydrates down to 159 the next day he is 170. Williams comes into fights at 160. They are both fighting people who are at least 10 to 20lbs lighter then them in fights.

Hell no! Williams is nowhere near the accurate puncher Pavlik is. I honestly do not understand why people make a big deal of him.
