I don't think all the people who backed Edison did it out of confidence for his skills. I feel like it was a Gatti syndrome- lots of people just liked his style, love his display of KO power, and started rooting for him. Within that group of fans there were a select few who genuinely overrated him- I agree. I never did.

If anything I will be completely honest in saying I haven't rated Abraham as highly as you guys because I genuienly haven't been able to see as much of him. I download fights, and I'll keep track of Youtube uploads, but I haven't seen more than a few Abraham fights; as I'm sure much of the American public has. So, in this rematch I wasn't really able to use my boxing knowledge in knowing just how good of a boxer Arthur was without bull****ting myself. So, as often, when I don't know what I'm talking about I keep my mouth shut.

I knew Miranda was limited but I didn't know how technically skilled Abraham was. I still need to see more of him.
This thread was made over a year ago. In early 2007 we were a minority who said Miranda would never win a title.

I said right from day one that as exciting a fighter as Miranda can be - and last night's fight was ************ worthy - the guy is too crude, too technically deficient and both his punch resistance AND punch power is questionable. But no, I didn't understand that Miranda can "pwn", did I? (Most hilarious of all were bigoted idiots like Pantera who assert that the only people who don't think Miranda is the second coming of prime Tyson are "Europeans"... what, so that's 700 million people with a hive mentality, is it? )

Seriously, I come on this site and week in, week out, call 80% of the winners in all fights, and call boxers like Miranda for what they are. But then I have to listen to little 15-year-old children who have been watching the sport for five minutes telling me how I don't "know boxing" and how crude sluggers like Miranda will conduct "major pwnage".

I don't know what I get more tired of... being constantly right, or you chumps being constantly wrong.

Well done KayJay... well done Anorak. You got it right. AGAIN.
80%? I think anyone with a fleeting interest in the sport can do that.
