I think Pavilk has proven his toughness and punching power tonight. His technique is clearly there and I think if he fought Taylor the same way as he did Miranda he’d have a similar result. It would look a lot like Taylor/Wright only Pavlik has a bigger punch. What do you guys think?

You are right. But his superb performance against a power pucher like Miranda probably makes a fight with Taylor less likely. Why would Taylor take a risk against Pavlik? Hopefully, this makes a Calzaghe/taylor fight more certain. -
He’d take the fight because he’ll be criticized for ducking the legitimate #1 Middleweight contender in the division. Personally I’d rather see Calzaghe fight Kessler or the winner of Hopkins/Wright, he’d slaughter Taylor IMO.Comment

I would love to see that fight. Pavlik isn't afraid of slugging when the time is right. Taylor did way too much dancing with Spinks last night.

I agree,Pavlik is a huge middleweight who hits like a truck,like i posted before,i think Miranda or Pavlik could KO Taylor,Taylor just isnt hungry enough
The commentators said they asked Taylor who his favorite boxer was,Taylor said he didnt watch boxing,thats our MW champ?
I think Pavlik would win,possibly by KO with Taylors terrible defence,also i dont think its a good idea for Taylor to fight Calzaghe,i had my doubts,but theres no doubt that Joe would win nowComment

I don't believe Taylor has the stones to fight Pavlik. I think as long as fans are willing to pay to see Taylor fight welterweights and Jr middleweights he'll continue to do so. What's wrong with boxing today when so-called champion can go years without fighting any legimate contenders in their out division. I believe either Pavlik or Miranda would beat Taylor to a pulp. Taylor's gonna look for another safe fight or a big name like Cazaghe who might be slipping before fighting a real threat. In my mind Pavlik is the uncrowned Champion because he fights REAl middleweights. Taylor is just another overweight Jr Middleweight champion who got exposed again last night by Cory Spinks. As safe as Taylor fought you'd swear Spinks had Miranda's punch!!!Comment

Look, Taylor fought an elusive, southpaw last night. That combo can make anybody look bad. I'm not saying Pavlik can't win if him and JT step into the ring. But Taylor has been against the better fighters. And Pavlik isn't hard to find. Taylor still has that jab. I hope the fight gets made. But let's not count out Taylors chances here. If you do, your the same type of dude that thought Pavlik couldn't beat Miranda.Comment
