Those were NOT robberies, many people have those fights scored for either fighter and each score is close, except for Lewis Holy I, which was terrible.Originally posted by CounterpunchTaylor/Hopkins, De La Hoya/Sturm, Lacy/Tsypko, Castillo/Mayweather, Lewis/Holyfield are some off the top of my head. There's alot more, I'd have to give it some thought though which is kinda hard at 6am. Also, any prospects on the undercard of a big fight it seems just have to make it to the end of the fight and they know they'll get the decision. I've seen it many times the underdog win in that situation but get a shutout loss from the judges.Comment

No your not a bad person for thinking that fight was a robbery, you are just ****** for thinking that fight was a robbery. The two you mentioned, DLH/PBF(IMO!!! I know im a bad person for thinking so apparently), and two other ones that I cant remember off the top of my head unfortunately. I just know that every few of months since then ive been pretty pissed off about one fight or another, maybe Im just more sensitive to it after the Quartay travesty.
I wish there was a school that could teach people like you about boxing and how to properly score fights.

agreed entirely and even Sturm only beat De La Hoya 7 rounds to 5 on most people's cards. problem is Sturm won his rounds clearly and Oscar didn't. I thought Ike vs. Forrest was bad, but I can't recall feeling any fight was a robbery since then except for Ben Rabah vs. Urango, which I had 10 rounds to 2 for Ben Rabah. I mean that's an even bigger robbery than Lewis-Holyfield I because Lewis clearly won 9 rounds and got a draw, not a LOSS like Ben Rabah did.Comment

BUT there are fights where there really are no close rounds, just a clear 7-5 margin of victory which is sometimes ignored. I think that some of the robberies mentioned fall in that category.Comment

Well, I do box, maybe that has something to do with me knowing when a jab lands and when it doesnt, unlike the punch scorers.Comment
