Only if the number of close rounds is less than the margin of victory. A fight that has even one or two close rounds could go either way if the rest of the rounds are pretty evenly divided.

Also, any prospects on the undercard of a big fight it seems just have to make it to the end of the fight and they know they'll get the decision. I've seen it many times the underdog win in that situation but get a shutout loss from the judges.
Those were NOT robberies, many people have those fights scored for either fighter and each score is close, except for Lewis Holy I, which was terrible.

No your not a bad person for thinking that fight was a robbery, you are just ****** for thinking that fight was a robbery.
I wish there was a school that could teach people like you about boxing and how to properly score fights.

De La Hoya/Sturm and Lewis/Holyfield I can qualify as robberies. The rest you named were just close fights.
agreed entirely and even Sturm only beat De La Hoya 7 rounds to 5 on most people's cards. problem is Sturm won his rounds clearly and Oscar didn't. I thought Ike vs. Forrest was bad, but I can't recall feeling any fight was a robbery since then except for Ben Rabah vs. Urango, which I had 10 rounds to 2 for Ben Rabah. I mean that's an even bigger robbery than Lewis-Holyfield I because Lewis clearly won 9 rounds and got a draw, not a LOSS like Ben Rabah did.

i would think the u.s. and mexico have the most fights in the world so more chances of bad reffs and judges.

BUT there are fights where there really are no close rounds, just a clear 7-5 margin of victory which is sometimes ignored. I think that some of the robberies mentioned fall in that category.

Well, I do box, maybe that has something to do with me knowing when a jab lands and when it doesnt, unlike the punch scorers.
