Lost 5 rounds and was knocked down 3 times.

He almost got knocked out in round 1, technically went down in round 2, was exhausted in rounds 3,4 and 5. Was dropped twice in round 6 and knocked out in 7.

Pavlik could not have fought much better. Everything i had hoped he was turned out to be true.

So you guys think this fight was better than Bell-Mormeck II, Vasquez vs. Marquez, Barrera vs. Rafa? I might even be forgetting some other ones, these are just off the top of my head.

I loved this fight, but Barrera vs. Marquez was the better fight, in my opinion at least.
Just wait for Hatton-Castillo and Margarito-Williams though! Weve had some damn exciting fights this year already, and theres still more to come!

I agree. Even though I was on the edge of my seat the whole fight and there was hardly any lull in the action I felt like Pavlik dominated the fight from round 1. Miranda did his work, but it was usually at the end of the rounds. Pavlik dominated for the longer times in the rounds. I felt Miranda maybe had won 1 round. If it wasn't as one sided I would call it fight of the year. Pavlik's performance was one of the best i have seen in a while.

Yes Marquez vs Barrera was a great fight with controversy added to it,but it didnt have as much action,nonstop punching like Miranda-Pavlik,Marquez and Barrera were punching in burst,where as Miranda and Pavlik wouldent stop punching with mean intentions until it was over
