Calzage will never get the respect he deserves because he is not American or has not fought many of his fights in America. As far as I'm concerned he's one of the greatest Champions of modern times. Unfortunatley over the last few fights he's been unable to throw any true power shots because of the problem with his hand and instead has to rely on either winning by decision or throwing flurry's of punches in order to get the TKO.

i think it's more of fighting guys like bika and manfredo than fighting a guy like kessler. now i know it comes down to promoters but i'm sure if they really want the fight to happen it would.

Anyone who doesn't already respect Calzaghe will never respect him because no matter who he beats his achievements will be forever belittled by the mindless minority.

            hopkins and kessler..............................

joe doesn't want either one of them, he wants to go after taylor because out of who is really out there taylor is the most green. i think taylor is more green than kessler by a good margin, and calzaghe and warren know that too.

if joe wants respect, he should fight at least hopkins and kessler, win, lose, or draw. that way you could say at least he took the challenge, as of yet joe still has to earn it from boxing fans on a world wide level, although he is getting closer, it's his opponents of late that is keeping joe from getting the respect he wants..................

If kessler lost to calzaghe he would then be called just a decent opponent who never fought anyone, but if calzaghe beat taylor there really couldnt be any excuses, especially considering that taylor is a big middleweight and there would be very little weight discrepancy

He has already gained my respect as one of the greatest British fighters in recent times. Out of all of the opponents listed, I would like to see him give Bernard Hopkins a boxing lesson.
