    zahir raheem stunk it up

dude holds more than john ruiz! and i thought that was impossible, what a terrible fight. and the ref ****** too, he should've been putting a stop to that **** from round 2. by the second round i was tired of seeing him constantly tie up, a lot of times just like ruiz, tying up without throwing punches, just coming in for the clinch, lame.

raheems fight style is poop to watch, i know he's a skilled fighter but he doesn't fight like it.

i couldn't even stick around for the ending it was so bad, i went to watch static on the tv instead, a lot more exciting to watch than that fight............

So, are you saying it was a great thing that I feel asleep early tonight instead of watching this bore-fest of a fight?

If you think that was bad, you should have seem him fight Freitas. I went against my word (that I would never watch another Raheem fight again), but I wasn't able to finish it either, Raheem looked good during the 1st round, but in round 2 Cruz landed a couple of punches, and the the John Ruiz style kicked in. Horrible...horrible fight again, but I guess he did show his "boxing mastery" by "hitting without getting hit".

Atlas tried to blame it on Cruz as well as Raheem (and I really like Atlas most of the time), however he was dead wrong about that. If a fighter is determined to clinch, there are some things you can do, but it is almost impossible to make a good fight of it. John Ruiz is the perfect example of that, and raheem has his style down perfectly.

I don't understand the following he has here on these boards (although admittedy I didn't see the Morales fight), however tonight reinforced my impressions of him from the Freitas fight....and I hope HBO and Showtime don't ever waste another high profile fight on him, and give it to more deserving fighters.

No doubt about the fight being unbearable to watch. This was my first time watching Raheem fight and is most definitely the last. The only thing that pissed me off more than Raheems antics was the fact that the ref let it go the entire fight with not one word about it until like the 8th round, and then let it slide the rest of the fight.

Morales v.s Raheem was the most boring Morales fight I ever saw this guy made a Morales fight boring.

I fell asleep because I was tired from working out all day and I was going to go run after it was over so I ended up takin a nap. The chorus of boos when they announced the decision woke me up and I was trying to figure out why they were all booing and Joe Tessitore sounded all mad and **** so I thought I missed something. ahaha

another thing, when are they gonna warn Teddy Atlas about clearing his throat on TV. He tries to time it like when they go to commercial or when they come come back but he ****s up everytime. Theyll come back from commercial and the first thing you hear is "AAAAAHHHHHMMMMUUMMMHHH"
