Same with Vargas and Trinidad. Vargas had a lot of grueling fights in general, the Trinidad fight was the main fight for Vargas's decline, although like Taylor, he won a title afterwards.
Felix ruined Reid and Vargas. Worst managed fighters I can recall outside of Maskaev.

I think the management just cashed out on Reid because he was vulernable and had that eye problem, they figured they'd get big money before he lost to someone like Kevin Kelly, who gave Reid a close fight.

I think Haugen in general was underated. He didnt have amazing speed/power, but he was a pretty solid fighter and tough as hell. He had some very good wins imo.

The fight with Chavez was his complete end though...Im not sure if I remember a more one sided fight that went 5.

Shame it happened but you are right about that I think. He should have been seasoned alot more I thought.

I was gonna say Mayweather-Gatti, but that was a six-rounder. I'll have to think more about that one.

Chavez tortured Haugen that night. He carried him a bit just so he could beat him up some more.

Didn't Haugen start off in Toughman competitions or something like that?

He supposed beat 200+ pound men all the time in Alaskan toughman comps.
