Well, considering Nicky Cook is genuine world class, whilst Derry Matthews got a bull**** hometown decision in his last fight against some average joe, I don't think this would be a smart move for Matthews. I thought Nicky Cook was knocking on the door for a world title shot?

He's fighting Leuvano for the wbo belt in July I think. I would like to see this fight just so cook can totally destroy Matthews in front of his adoring fans. Matthews is the dirtiest fighter around at the moment.

fighting matthews would be a backwards step for cook, but it would be forgivable. i think 100% of non-scouse boxing fans will want to see cook give derry a painful boxing lesson, before going on to fight some world-class featherweights.
