Krasniqi vs Thompson July 14 WBO eliminator

********* and several other boxing websites are reporting that contenders Luan Krasniqi and Tony Thompson will face each other in a WBO title eliminator match on July 14 in Germany.

I think on paper, this fight screams "borefest" because both fighers are very 'cautious' and are not known as knockout artists. However, both fighters seem to be very hungry for a big victory that could earn them a title shot against the WBO champion.

Could be boring as you say but definetely a good match up if.....I like Thompson by UD personally....unless for some crazy reason he has to go to Germany....then you never know and it lowers my interest level.

Yes, they'll be at their best because it will be the last chance at a title shot for both, considering their ages. This is a fairly even matchup, but I think Thompson will win a close decision.

It will probably be boring as you said, but I've always believed Krasniqi to be one of the better boxers in the division. He'll need to put on a better performance then he's tended to put on before though.

How did either of these guys get in a postion to challenge for a BELT..
Both are quality guys.. no doubt.. But neither has done anything to explain their lofty rankings...
