Perhaps, still hard to judge how accurate is and if wearing the sensors will effect the performance of the fighters....To many variables can happen but hey anything is better than what we got now...Damn do I hate the scoring system in amateur boxing...Its flat out ******ed. -
good idea.
By the way, does anyone know if Judges see the punchstat stats while they judge the fight? If they do, Pro's could be in trouble as well.Comment

yeah man no kidding. i dont think the equipment would impede the fighters and if thats the case id be all for it. boxing is one of the few sports in the world where their isnt an unquestionable winner.Comment

it wont work. ever. there is no way for it to distinguish between a blow to the head caused by a punch to the head, or a punch to the gloves that transfers energy to your head. Same thing with the body. There is no way to distinguish between a connected shot to the body, and a hard shot blocked by the arms but still transfering force through the arms and to the body.Comment

there is a big difference between a clean punch and a blocked punch, and that is the sound it makes. of course you wont be hearing all the punches between rounds, but i mean a system that based in the sensor plus the type of sound that would be able to recognize if the punch is blocked or if its a clean hit.it wont work. ever. there is no way for it to distinguish between a blow to the head caused by a punch to the head, or a punch to the gloves that transfers energy to your head.
