Former WBA super flyweight champion Martin Castillo (31-2, 17 KOs) returned to action Saturday night, knocking out Jorge Ramiro at "El Palenque" on the grounds of the world famous Caliente race track in Tijuana, Mexico. A left uppercut followed by a right hand in round five finished Ramiro. For Castillo, it was his first fight since losing his title on a cut against Nobuo Nashiro in June 2006. After that fight, Castillo had a plastic surgeon shave down his forehead and remove the scar tissue around his eyes, necessitating a ten month layoff. "We're happy to say there were no cuts in this fight and Martin came out really clean," manager Frank Espinoza told *********.com. The Castillo Team is now looking for a big fight. "We'll fight Munoz, we'll fight Arce, we'll fight whoever there is out there," commented Espinoza. "We're going to see what Top Rank says and take it form there."--*********.com

Castillo still needs another tune up before he can even think about the top guys. It will be better for him. I would expect his next fight to be another tune up before Munoz.Comment
