If Pavlik wins i dont think many people will be shocked, its two solid middleweights in there prime fighting each other. Its a pick em fight really, thats why there is so much buzz around this fight.

the only reason i said they will be shocked is because there is a few people on here that think pavlik has no chance of beating miranda. it should be a good fight and i won't be shocked who wins and your right it is definately a pick'em fight.

This is going to be a great fight. I will be rooting for Pavlik but I would not be surprised to see Miranda win it.

you guys should watch pavlik's latest sparring video taken a few months ago in january.

the guy was eating flush shots from a guy slower, weaker, and smaller than Miranda.

Ohh man, cannot wait for this fight. I am rooting for the american Pavlik, but I like Miranda as well and wouldn't be too upset if he won. I think if Pavlik can stand firm in there and take a few shots, then he will have a very good chance at Miranda. However, If Miranda hits him hard and early, which he will, and Pavlik gets hurt, he will be in big trouble and may be an early Ko. Funny how this is the undercard and no one is even really talking about Taylor/Spinks

Pavlik has very good technique, but he gets caught too much. If he fights the perfect fight, but I don't know if he can, he can win the fight because Miranda's beatable.

Miranda's problem is that, well, he has very little boxing technique. He had one trainer, Stacy Goodson, that was trying to teach him how to fight. but Stacy's been out of his camp for a long time now, and Miranda is basically using just his physicality to win fights. But he has one punch power and is dangerous in every round.

I'm American, and I'm not going for the American in this fight. Miranda will destroy Pavlik

The problem however is that Pavlik loves to jab and is a solid straight ahead pounder with his own devastating KO power. If miranda comes in swinging wildly pavlik will eat it up and this will be a relatively short fight. Pavlik by KO. If miranda has watched tape and seen how he needs to show alot more defense than in the past then this should be a long fight ultimately decided by decision. Either way I really believe Pavlik will dominate no matter how Miranda chooses to fight.

Next saturday, Pavlik will be the #1 middlweight contender.

There is no doubt that Pavlik is a better techincal boxer than Miranda. As to whether he can overcome Miranda's natural ferocity is hard to say. Green has some firepower but it didn't seem to throw Miranda off his game. As to whether Pavlik can get the job done remains to be seen. This is one fight I don't intend to bet on, it is too close to call.

Now Miranda has Jose Bonilla and training out of Carolina, Puerto Rico. Bonilla, to me, is an excellent match for Edison. Besides the fact they speak the same language and Edison looks up to Jose as a father figure, Jose Bonilla is an excellent trainer who has molded the one dimisional power house in Edison and taught him to be more patient and box. In the Allan Green fight he showed some boxing skills that most people didnt think he had. For 8 rounds, Edison was very patient and outboxed and outpointed the 'skillful' Allan Green. Finally in Round 9 and 10 the 'Panther' came out of Edison and he went on the attack looking for the kill.

I see a similar Miranda coming out against Pavlik. The big difference is that Pavlik is there to be hit. Green has better movement and defensive skills. Once Pavlik gets hit, he wont be able to go into a survival mode. He may even want to exchange. I see Edison stopping Pavlik within 3 rounds.

Have you had a chance to spar with Hopkins yet?
