It's to do with British sailors eating limes to combat scurvy, apparently. It isn't exactly the big bad of racial epithets, but personally I'm not fond of it, though if it's used jokingly it's perfectly acceptable.

First of all, you have no proof Corrales was driving his motorcyle while drunk. Second, he served prison time for abusing the mother of his first child. In other words, he was punished for his crime. After serving time he became a better person and I have not heard any reports of him ever beating his present wife so please stop with the rumors. There is no reason to call him a low life thug. Corrales was a human being that made mistakes and his last one cost him his life and will cause his family to suffer. I can only imagine the stress and anguish his pregnant wife is going through. No woman should ever have to go through this especially while pregnant. Try to show some sympathy at this time.

I see the point the author of the article was trying to make but the evidence is faulty and the point is misguided.

Is riding a motorcycle risky behavior? Sure, you could successfully argue that assumption. Even most motorcycle riders would concede the point. But that isn’t what the article was suggesting. The article is saying that riding a motorcycle is grossly irresponsible behavior, and I don’t agree.

You have to look at what the common person would think, and while the common person would probably indeed say that a motorcycle is more risky than other forms of transportation it certainly isn’t grossly irresponsible to do so.

Once more, condemning Corrales for his behaviors does nothing. He is gone. The focus should be on the ones he left behind, namely his family.
