If a famous fighter admitted and came out the closet how would it go with fans?

I know the first thing that would come across peoples minds especially fighters it may sound ignorant but this guy might have AIDS.

I doubt the AIDS fear would be an issue. AIDS being a gay disease is very 80's/90's.

However out of major sports I think it would possibly be the easiest sport to come out in since its individual and not team based. I can see someone losing a lot of fans but I can see him gaining some who would've probably not have been just because he was gay.

Personally it depends on the fighter. If any of my personally favorite fighters were to come out I would still watch him.

Once I'm a fan, I will always will be a fan, I don't care if a fighter is gay or not, that's none of my business.
