Is Hopkins hyping up Miranda for himself?

I was trying to figure out exactly why Hopkins has been hyping up Miranda, I mean after all they are still close in weight classes, so why would you hype up a possible opponent? At first I thought it was a dislike for the way Taylor won his 2 fights against B-Hop, but it just got me thinking that, obviously no one wants to see Hopkins-Taylor again so it is probably out of the question for him to get a rematch agaisnt him. However, if he hyped up Miranda, lead the public charge in Edison getting a shot at Taylor, and then taking him out when he gets in there with him.......that would set up a huge showdown with Bernard. Bernard could possibly do what he once did to Felix Trinidad against the young Miranda, or atleast it is possible that Hopkins thinks he can. What do you guys think? Could we be seeing a superfight between Miranda and Hopkins in 2008, where Bernard leaves the sport out on top?

He sees something in Edison and believes he has the goods to take over the division like he did for many years. There is no business relationship or future plans. He is just speaking from experience as to what he sees.

Hopkins would toy with Miranda style wise Miranda would not find Hopkins. I think Hopkins but late ko.

If Edison Miranda elects to fight Bernard Hopkins at the level he's at right now, it would be a showcase for Hopkins. Because while Hopkins is old he's a very technical and cagey fighter with serious experience and craftsmanship. Not to mention the fact that Hopkins has yet to show his age. Unless Miranda could catch Hopkins with something big early, he would have literaly no chance of beating Hopkins.

You guys are freaking crazy is you think Hopinks 'power' would scare Miranda or he would 'school' him. Look what happened when Taylor got into the ring with Hopkins. If Hopkins couldnt school Taylor, he sure the hell aint schooling Miranda!

But that is besided the point. The two of them are never gonna fight so we will never know for sure anyway.
