WBO junior lightweight champion Joan Guzman (27-0, 17KOs) has been forced to pull out of his scheduled May 26th bout against WBO lightweight champion Mike Katsidis (22-0, 20 KOs) due to a hand injury he suffered in training. No word on if the bout will be rescheduled or if Katsidis will be fighting someone else May 26th. Guzman protege Agenis Mendez who is a hot unbeaten (4-0, 3 KOs) featherweight prosepect out of the Dominican Republic will still fight as scheduled June 9th. His bout will be the opener on the Miguel Cotto/Zab Judah pay-per-view fight card. It will be Argenis first fight to be televised on American Television
