    Mainstream Coverage of Corrales Accident?

I honestly dont watch much news on TV, did the mainstream news media or your local news media give much airtime to the tragedy that just befell the boxing community?

I ask because that relatively obscure middle reliever for the St. Louis Cardinals is still getting press from his wreck, and he was not a star in his sport, Corrales was one of the most popular boxers today, so it would say where Boxing stands currently among sports today.

So did the national media CBS/ABC/NBA national news, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News cover it?
Did your local news have anything about it?
How big of a space in the sports page of the newspaper did it recieve?
How prominent was the coverage outside the boxing world?

i personally didn't see it since i don't watch much local news. but the hip hop message board i go to started a thread on diego and it was apparently because the topic starter saw it on the evening news. i'm guessing if you're from cali it had a segment.

The only coverage I saw over in NY,NJ was on espn and it was a quick segment.

        Total shame.

Not at all. Some of the NY papers had articles, but all the way in the back of the papers.

if it wasnt for this site i wouldnt know about it.

the news are crap they dont show nothing. not even in spanish news where alot of people mostly watch it. and corrales was HISPANIC (colombian and mexican) and univision that is mostly owned by mexicans didnt even bother to show it.

Why do you keep saying that?
UNIVISION is owned by a ***. They are trying to apeal to the majority of viewers. Yes, where the money is at. Im sure they will have something on Republica Deportiva on Sunday.
Telemundo was founded by a Puerto Rican and is based in Miami, again they want to apeal to the majority public.

Galavision is a stream from Mexico as is Azteca America.
My point is Univision isnt Mexican owned.
Maybe you should start Fidel TV.
