I dont know what Kimbo is thinking but he is going to be serioulsy hurt. I mean if Lennox Lewis couldnt put Mercer then Kimbo sure as hell wont. I see Kimbo getting koed early, what does everyone else think.

It seems abit fishy to me and Mercer needs the cash. I may end up lookin like LaMatto-Fox with Mercer having to hold him up to keep from falling from a correctly placed powerful heavyweight jab.Comment

Mercer is so old and decrepit, he wont be able to go to the ground cause he cant bend at the knees. If it goes to the ground he wont be able to get back up. He quit after ONE kick from Remy Bonjasky and just isnt in to fighting anymore it seems. He is too much for Kimbo and I think Kimbo is going to get exposed and Koed brutally, but Mercer is so old and ****ty that theres a chance he might do something like quit. I wanna see it.Comment

Maybe Kimbo will just take him to the ground and win a decision. This could possibly happen. Mercer will kill him if they stand though.Comment

Mercer would make a lot more from losing this fight, no doubt, and as he's shown in both boxing and kickboxing, he has shown a definate willingness to do "business" sort to speak.
And shoot, out of the two fighters, and judging by the fact that the last time I checked Mercer wasn't even on the promotion's fight poster (this was at least a month ago, so it may have changed), who do you think this MMA organization is promoting or wants to win the fight as the more marketable fighter?
Some washed-up and out of shape ex-boxer, who I think is closer to 50 than he is 40?
Or some street fighter whose garnered a pretty hot following on internet because of his videos, and even on MMA boards his name garners frequent discussions (not to mention that it ws only Kimbo on tht poster, and a rather large photo at that)?
If I was a betting man, my bet is Mercer's doing nothing in this fight but selling his name.Comment

I would feel comfortable betting on Mercer. I considered what Yogi wrote, but, why would any promoter think that having Kimbo at 1-0 (should Mercer "lay down") would be in any way profitable? He's not going ANYWHERE in boxing. Kimbo has no future in boxing. MMA, maybe, but not boxing. I look at this fight as a tune-up fight for Mercer to get the kinks out for one more payday against somebody along the likes of Tommy Morrison or Baby Joe.Comment
