Not at all since PBF said he was going to whoop Oscar's ass he was saying that with confidence in his abilities do exactly that but people who dislike PBF will see that as talking ****.

I don't think you should undermine floyds victory over Oscar. It was his first fight at 154, he was probably outweighed by 15-20 pounds that night. He had to use reyes gloves, which don't provide as much cushioning as the winning gloves he usually wears. Maybe thats why his punch output was so low. I think Oscar is a very good fighter, and even though hes past his prime he's still a hard opponent. I also don't think his chin is questionable anymore. Oscar landed a few good shots, they were few and far between but they were there, and none seemed to affect him.

I can't stand floyd and really do think he has more to prove, esp if he thinks he should be considered the greatest.

Well I dont think he was unimpressive, but I do think Oscar is more of a name than a great fighter. He hasnt been impressive since his loss to Mosley.

"Floyd proved that he can give up four pounds"

This is where I stopped reading knowing this article is a biased peace of junk.

When you twist facts, it is hard to have a credible opinion.

Floyd did well. He beat a bigger but slower man. Good stuff.
Do we hate all confident black fighters who are rich?
Course we do! We hate Ali, Foreman, B'Hop, SRL, SRR, Winky etc. We all call them **** on a regular basis.
            Great theory Moron!!!!
Floyd needs more fights with recognised top contenders.
He's a great fighter. He needs to fight some GREAT opposition to be truly recognised as such.
If B'Hop had stopped after 5 defenses to look after his kids would he be as well considered as now?
Sorry Floyd, if you wanna be a great you gotta live it longer and better than this. It's tough to be great. You got the tools. You gotta face some greats.

I'm a huge PBF fan, but what pisses me off most about the article is how the writer belittles De La Hoya, I personally thought he fought hard, but not smart, he used the jab for all of 2 rounds, I honestly think with the jab he could got a decision over Mayweather. DLH assumed he could pressure Mayweather & that made it a more entertaining fight but it didn't help him win, I don't understand how people can claim DLH blocked most of Mayweather's shots, he was landing almost at will. The funniest part I thought was that everyone was talking about DLH's power but he would unload on Floyd against the ropes, & Floyd would land 2 clean shots down the middle DLH would back off.

first off, do you guys really think floyd is retiring? come on! floyd beat oscar and he did it convincingly anyone who denies that was watching a different fight. he is the best p4p fighter in the world and he beat anyone they put in front of him? what more do u want? dream matchups always make for good arguments but it doesnt always work that way in the boxing world. he is a great fighter and he beats whoever he fights. its boxing, the point is to hit and not be hit, which is exactly what he does. not everyone wants to see blood and a brawl, some people appreciate an excellet pure boxer for what he is worth. stop this floyd bashing he is the best in the world and one of the best of all time no matter what anyone says or believes. he is at the top of his game and no one can beat him right now. sure there are some middlweights that could come downt to 54 and overpower him, but thats apples and oranges, for the most part, 154 and down is all floyds territory!

After the bout, Max Kellerman ridiculously suggested that Floyd won eight or nine rounds. He also said that he had defeated a great fighter that still possessed much of his skills. Max was wrong on both counts. What's new?
LOL!!! MAX KELLERMAN... hahahaha question his credibility? you should! lol
The truth of the matter is that a prime De La Hoya was never as good as the peak Shane Mosely, nor was he as talented as Tito Trinidad. Both defeated Oscar, who at his best was a borderline great boxer, but that was about seven, maybe eight years ago.
Didnt like this tho... DLH should have beaten Trinidad... DLH was just listening to his trainers...

After every fight you think of some other guy to give him problems, it ain't even been a week of kicking Oscar ass now the Cotto's of the world can give him a run for his $$$. yeah Oscar blocked some shots but he also got hit with more shots than he could block. he got his ass whooped worst than what Ike Quartey gave him. Just man up and say I was wrong, the Floyd is good!!
Look I am not denying Floyds skills, all I am saying is that I want to see him fight the other young talented undefeated fighter in his era. I want to see him take on the Cottos, hattons, Margarito's,Williams's. I want to see him take on the best fighters recognozed right now in there prime. You cant speculate at what would happen because until they fight you will never know. I will give him his props if he takes on these guys and win or lose at least he stepped up to the challenge. I just have a problem with him calling himself one of the greatest of all time when he hasn't faced all these guys. Thats how I feel, and it's not hate. You can't call someone a hater just because they have a difference of opinion. Thats what we are on here for is to discuss and debate these topics and it would be pretty boring if everyone agreed.
