The reason why I created this thread is I wanted some opinions, my friend is a boxing fan as well and he thinks Marciano wins this because Ali dropped him, I told him Ali dropped Liston and some other hard hitters as well, and Ali got into his head mentally thats why he knocked him out.
marciano is an all time great but its a bad styles matchup for him. marciano comes forward and you dont do that with big george unless youre a super human beast. foreman would probably either stop him or knock him down multiple times and win a decision
I'm a huge fan of both fighters, but Foreman would destroy Marciano every single time. Like they said above, it would be Foreman / Frazier all over again. But probably worse.
good analogy with smokin joe but the rock did have a better chin than joe. I think he'd have lasted more rounds but the outcome probably would have been pretty smiliar. big george just too damn strong for the rock
