I would imagine most people would say their favorite was him coming back from two knockdowns to stopp Castillo in the same round...can't go wrong with that one, too.Comment

My favorite memory of Chico came after the brutal war with Castillo, not during. He had his troubles in his life before that, but after a tough fight which he dramatically and miraculously pulled out he chose not to talk about how great a fighter he was. He didn't call out everybody in the division. He didn't talk any trash. He was humble, he described the fight as an honor to have been part of. He thanked Castillo and called him a warrior. He took the opportunity to shout out about cancer research. It was a very touching and humane moment from a fighter who was brutal in the ring and had dark areas in his personal life. It reaffirmed to me everything that I liked about this fighter on his most heroic of nights.Comment

yeah, very true. He was a warrior but didn't talk like a wannabe tough guy. I met him once in Las Vegas at the after party for the first "Contender" finale and I was VERY impressed with his friendliness towards me. Really nice guyComment
