He got buzzed by taller and bigger guys like Larios and Solis.

I doubt this fight will happen though. Not in the US.

Larios was a jr. featherweight and Solis was a featherweight. When you're talking about Valero, you're talking about a full-fledged jr. lightweight who has been knocking out jr. lightweights in every single fight of his career...

Absolutely. This would be a very tough fight for Pac and one I wouldnt be surprised if he lost. Valero's a monster and whilst his defence might not be all it could be, neither is Pac's. I would side with Valero in this one, and I would be rooting for him too.

My point is, Pac has been used to fighting guys taller and bigger than him since he left 108. Valero is no different. And his head up style is an easy target for Pac. And his hands aren't that fast, either.

Also, Pac has gotten much better at moving out of danger since his loss to Morales.

This is a 50/50 fight no matter how you look at it. Both have weak defense, both are strong, but who wants it more? Valero is without a doubt the hungryier fighter. He's young and as they say, ****strong. He just wants to fight anyone and get noticed. Both have suspect chins. Manny's hasn't been tested by a big ****er in years yet has been rocked by average/OK punchers. Valero has been dropped by Mosquera who has ok power. I'd imagine it would come down to who lands first. You can't say Manny will because they both are equally lightening fast and southpaws. It will be a 50/50.

And Valero hasn't felt power like Pacquiao. Even Mosquera knockdown Valero. Comparing punching power, Pac is better than Mosquera. Plus Pac has speed.

Valero would get outboxed by all the top guys imo. I still think Pac will beat him, but this is his best chance because they will both go toe to toe.

Lets hope HBO keeps this OFF of PPV.

Amen. I feel the same way. I wouldn't be surprised if Pacquiao won, but Valero has a great chance of outpunching and over-powering him.

style-wise, it's a 50-50 chance.. but i wouldn't bet against pac right now. experience wins it for pac.
