He was ****ing right, just because he died doesn't change a thing. I respect Corrales as a fighter but this was made a long time before Corrales death and is spot on.

Give everybody here bad feedback, because this whole forum was saying that when it happened.

People are so ****ing sensitive all of a sudden, I see jokes at M. Ali's expense every once in a while on this forum, but I guess we're saving all the outrage for until Ali dies...

chico killed himself to make weight, castillo tried to cheat on the scale by having his doctor put his foot under the scale and lift, i would sue too. and not to mention that castillo never tried to take the rest of the weight off and who took the fight corrales!

castillo also failed to make weight for their third fight chico made weight for that, thats two in a row castillo not making weight, i'd still sue.

as for the casamayor fight, it's sad to see that chico couldn't make weight, it was obvious that chico's body couldn't go down any further, so what did chico do he moved up two weight classes, he didn't try and get another fight at 135 like castillo did when he failed to make weight, corrales failed once to make weight and he made a move to go to another weight class, castillo kept trying the same hustle.....................

either way it's all water under the bridge and we've lost one of the greatest boxing entertainers and personality in the modern era of boxing, maybe even all time...................Chico was a throw back to when it was all about heart, blood, and guts.......................a true hero.

I wasnt going to go into the topic NOW, because it is obviously bad taste, but since you feel like doing it...

you make a lot of excuses.

corrales did not try 135 a second time?
              1) there was not the same money that was there for Castillo-Corrales 3
              2) he missed the weight by more than Castillo did, so it takes very simple math to realize that hoping to make 135, when you managed 138.5 is a more realistic than when you made 139.5. As we all know, one of those pounds is hard to take off.

              the fact is

chico talked mad **** about jlc when jlc could not make weight, and then ended up pulling the same.

do I have to dig in his past more? mouthpiece? wifebeating?

if you dont want that **** digged up NOW, have the good taste to not talk about it at all. I dont understand why someone went and digged up that video made months ago NOW. to stir controversy, about a warrior who just died? There are many nasty and true things to say about 99.9% people, when they are dead you just dont talk about them. But pretending like they did not happen is just plain ******.

I would like everyone on the forum to not discuss any controversy regarding chico or sad pages of his past. Let us not forget them, but let us not think about them now.

Everyone should think about the family he leaves.
four kids. one of them is never going to meet his father. the thought kills me.

Let's remember the warrior in the ring and the moments he gave us, at the expense of his own health. The lucky ones with faith should pray for his family.

                  Very well said.

It tears me up that he and his wife have a baby on the way. What a terrible time for such a tragedy. Not that there is ever a good time for it, but it hurts more to know that he has a child he will never hold. That his wife will have to try to give enough love for the both of them. At least there is a chance that his older children will remeber his hugs, his laugh, him saying he loved them. It is so sad that not all of his children will remember.
