The critics claim that Taylor is just picking an easy fight, but I don't think it is going to be so easy.

Potatoes, I agree with that summary as well. I think Taylor may have a real fight on his hands. We'll see.

Ask Cory Spinks what it feels like to dehydrate to make weight. That will give you the answer about why you should compete at your natural fighting weight. Have you had a chance to spar with Spinks? You need to learn how to deal with a slick boxer by cutting off the ring, and he needs to practise stick-and-move against a much bigger opponent.

As far as my natural weight I am 217 with about 10 lbs of fat i can use and i am over muscular for a boxer. I used to train heavy with weights and I am little to bulky. I can afford to lose 10lbs or so of fat and maybe 7 lbs of muscle putting me at a lean-strong 200. I would not need to dehydrate truthfully. I was 187 LBS 3 years ago minus about 15 lbs of muscle and 10 lbs of fat i have now, so i can do it and be strong and healthy at 200. As far as sparring with corey I am NO WHERE near that level. I would love to but it would be counter productive for him. Besides he has a few pro sparring partners for that in his camp. Its great to watch up close though.

One of the mistakes Cory Spinks made with his career was trying to fight at an unnatural weight level, being 147. He paid for it when Zab Judah ran him out of gas and knocked him out. Spinks shouldn't have to dehydrate to make weight at 160, assuming he is exercising a bit of common sense with his training. If he is clever he will figure out how to run Taylor out of gas, and possibly stop him early. Taylor is an unnaturally large middleweight, who who has to dehydrate to make weight. In the past Taylor has shown clear signs of fatigue in the later rounds. If Spinks has done his job he will have noticed this.

What I am saying to you is don't pay attention to the the bad advice about getting your weight down. Just get in boxing shape and let your body weigh whatever it wants. But remember, boxing shape is a very high level of fitness which takes many months or even years to achieve.

Point taken. I am just trying to get into boxing shape and i will see where it takes me. As far the guy above that guarantees a KO in 3, you are not Ali. If Spinks can take this to the later rounds he might have a shot. Thank spuds.(potatoes)
