    general boxing and fights talk

first off obviously all the talks about pbf - dlh and i cant help but feel let down by the fight, for boxing fans YES it was an entertaining fight just cause of all the hype we have took in and the build up to the fight made it entertaining even if it was a **** fight. but what about the casual boxing/ufc fans who cant decide whats better and what to follow? you think watching that fight made them think OH **** UFC,BOXING IS THE BEST? did it ****...half the world watched that so hyped up fight and thought ah **** it,the boxing was ****ty but theres always the next UFC to look forward too,not good for boxing atall and you would think dlh and pbf would know that, not to knock there performances or anything they both trained like **** for the fight, both wanted to win and i wasnt dissapointed, dont wanna disrespect them

next thing, alot of casual fans seem to think boxing fights are being fixed,i asked a few lads in the pub last night if they saw the fight and half of them straight away said "yeh it was a right fix werent it" and a few other people i have spoke to about different fights seem to think alot of fixing is going on.
now are these just dumb ****s who know **** all about boxing (probably) or is fights being fixed something we overlook or dont want to be true? cause we love the sport so much? im not saying fights are fixed i dont think they are but we will never know and maybe its something to think about..what do you think?

now about some fights that i think would really catch peoples attention. hatton vs castillo and judah vs cotto,i think these two fights given all the attention and hype that dlh - pbf was given would get quite a few people into boxing, casual fans dont care about tactics and skills they wanna see knockouts hard punches blood and guts, also they dont look into records or p4p lists they just wanna see these guys beat eachother up and i think alot of this will happen in these two fights. these are the types of fights i think we need,**** whos at the top,**** the p4p list, hype up the wars and get people back into boxing again, once they do that, they start to respect the actual boxing part of it and become fans like us...simple really

untill this happens,i think people will continue watching ufc meat heads kick the **** out of eachother and then....boxing dies

It seems that "everyone knows" that "all" boxing matches are "fixed". Whether it has any bearing on reality or not. I know people who say that boxing matches are fixed and the UFC is not. It's frankly bizarre.

title fights in UFC rarely go to decision. if 'm not mistaken. and the last series ko's i've seen were pretty hard. so why cheat like that? and ive never believed that boxing has a lot of fixed fights actually.

oh and don't worry , MMA won't surpass boxing because in the US , because they fight in this ****** octagon . they need to get rid of that. do it like pride FC. oh and 10 point system sucks too for mma.
