Oscar de la hoya did a great fight...

Personnaly i find oscar did a great fight. He trew much combos, was active, agressive, and i found he had pretty good stamina, he could destroy everyother light welterweight exept winky. the only fact his that floyd made him look bad, because he has a very good deffense. Whatever, since castillo, it was the hardest fight for floyd?

    what do you think ?

    oscar survived
if floyd was a big hitter
    he wouldnt have kept comming
foward. he was able to eat the punches
    but thats about it.
only offense he had was his ****** flurries
where he landed 2 out of 10 punches
and looked like he was swiming

or the rabbit punches or the jab he threw 4 times
    a round

he only survived because of floyds power
    and he is tough.

I disagree. Oscar often comes forward more vs hard hitter. I think Floyd's lack of aggression and power partly is to blame for why he won, because it lulled Oscar to sleep. Oscar was in that gray area where he felt he was doing enough to win, but he did not push himself 100% to the threshold.

i didnt see oscar come foward against rinidad
or vargas. he flurried n moved vargas got
weak then oscar finished him. trinidad never
stop comming foward. hopkins is in defense mode
most of the time and pushed oscar back.

I guess you didn't watch all of the fight, because Oscar most certainly did come forward against Vargas at times, although not much vs Tito. Also he came forward versus guys with much more pop than Floyd such as Mosley (first fight) and Quartey.

Oscar fought a fantastic fight and I comend him. He was in great shape and pushed forward throught the entire fight. I give PBF all the credit in the world, he fought the fight he needed to fight. He moved and avoided Oscar at all cost. He never once put his right hand down fearing that Oscar left hook.

Most moderate boxing fans were dissapointed in the fight but PBF did we he needed to do to win. Oscar would beat every other fighter in that weight class and I still think a Winky vs Oscar fight would be monumental and closer than people think. Oscar fought everyone in his career and I give him much love, PBF was just too elusive for him that night.
