I am sick of hearing these guys who do not follow boxing saying how its easy or its not real fighting and MMA is the real deal.
Well if its so simple why don't they go in there and try it?
I admit I'd feel safer training in mma only because you can hold onto dear life and tap and not looked down upon.
But there is nothing more scary then being limited in your tools and going head to head with only your fists and a super fast power puncher in front of you, you cannot tap out or quit and still be looked at as a fighter.

They diss boxing but like I say go fight then and clean house if its so simple.

Have you ever been put in a chicken wing before? Has someone when you were a little boy twisted your arm behind your back to the point where your shoulder felt like it was going to snap off like a twig?

So let me get this straight. If someone puts someone in an arm bar and their arm is at the threshold of breaking they're a ***** for tapping out?

not a chickenwing but a kimura, reverse americana, armbar and standing kimuras I trained judo and catch wrestling and yes they are very painful.
Never said they were ***** for tapping out just saying in boxing if you quit you will never hear the end of it.
I feel safer in mma but I dare you to get your TOOLS taken away and get thrown in a boxing ring with someone superior at boxing...its scary you cannot go in for a shoot and you get hit many times and your basically defenseless.

Agreed with everything you typed, I misunderstood.

Yes it's ****ing scary, and yes getting repeatedly punched in the face tests a new level of toughness that people thought they had.

And yeah there are too many people talking that "Oh I could just choke Mike Tyson out" Jazz. I've been hearing too much of that nonsense also.

1 punch bare fisted from Mike would maim and cripple literally anyone on the street and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Plus the odds of him landing it are pretty damn good because he's not limited to only fighting standing up in a street fight.

He could throw a wild left hook and land it on the chest and that would stun enough to follow up with good shots upstairs.

I used to train BJJ back in high school. Then I sparred for the first time in boxing when I joined the military and got my ass kicked and have been hooked on boxing ever since. I haven't done BJJ since. No to say BJJ in easy but it came pretty easy to me and boxing didn't so I've been boxing since. I respect any fighter regardless of the type of style they choose whether it's MMA or Boxing.

I agree, but it's also quite scary to have a better grappler than you on top of you, raining down punches. And no matter what you do, you can't get him off you.
