De La Hoya / Mayweather JUDGES SCORECARDS

How did you score the last round?

I had DLH winning the last round. I mean Mayweather of course deserved the win, I had it 115-113 Maywather.. but I wouldn't be surprised if the decision was a majority draw.

why did jerry roth not score the last round for de la hoya?

it's clear he won that round, there needs to be a rematch!!!! b/c this fight should have been a draw.

I'm sure Mayweather wouldn't mind.

If you average the scoring, rd by rd, Floyd wins 115-113

Rd 1 Floyd (3 judges)
Rd 2 Oscar (3 judges)
Rd 3 Oscar (2 judges) *
Rd 4 Oscar (3 judges)
Rd 5 Floyd (3 judges)
Rd 6 Floyd (3 judges)
Rd 7 Oscar (3 judges)
Rd 8 Floyd (2 judges) *
Rd 9 Floyd (2 judges) *
Rd 10 Floyd (2 judges) *
Rd 11 Floyd (3 judges)
Rd 12 Oscar (2 judges) *

I think Oscar deserved Rd 12, but I'm really surprised that at least one judge gave Oscar rds 9 - 10 (edit: I gave Floyd rd 8, but it was closer than 9 - 11). I thought those were clearly Floyd rds. I gave Oscar Rd 6, but not round 3. Guess I can watch it a second time. I'm pretty hard pressed to argue against the judges when all 3 have the same score for a round.

Just looking at the scorecard and looking atb the fact that oscar was winning there needs to be a rematch immediately tell larry merchant to look at the scorecard there has to be a rematch or even a 3-match if oscar wins

You can probably judge a fight better by watching it on your tv then watching it live.

who gives a **** what the average scores are...

my point is...

Looking at the judges score cards 2 of 3 judges had de la hoya winning the last round...

Why did Jerry Roth give the 12th to mayweather when de la hoya clearly won that round. was he trying to avoid a draw?

the judges are supposed to score each round individually not give the last round to the other guy to avoid looking bad by scoring a draw

Correct,

Look I won't complain about the decision.. I don't think DLH deserved the 115-113 from Kaczmarek..

I was expecting to hear the following scoring
115-113 Mayweather
114-114
114-114
making it a majority draw.

DLH f'ed himself over in rounds 9-11.. He totally abandoned his jab, which cost him the fight... but I guess his tank was on low and he did the best he could.

My disappointment is that I expected a lot more aggression from DLH... PBF is not a hard puncher, and I wanted to see Oscar take some shots to get close and land his own. But DLH was waiting and picking his shots and missed most of them, where he should have fought "Rough and Tough" and bully PBF, throwing him all over the ring..

But hey, easier said than done.

The only reason I like to look at the way each round is scored by each judge is because if all 3 judges had the same score for that round, you can be pretty damn sure that it's right. I think Oscar should have been given round 12 by Roth, but question Roth giving him round 9. If you want to nitpick one round, you have to nitpick them all. I mean, Tom gave Oscar round 10, which seems ludicrous, and questionably gave him round 8.

Rd 2 Oscar (3 judges)
Rd 3 Oscar (2 judges) *

Rd 6 Floyd (3 judges)
Rd 7 Oscar (3 judges)

Rd 9 Floyd (2 judges)

Rd 11 Floyd (3 judges)
Rd 12 Oscar (2 judges)

It happened 4 times... only once for Oscar.. don't talk **** about the 12th round.
