Hearns and 2002 Vernon Forrest would have dominated Floyd

Watching how Floyd had a lot of problems dealing with Oscar's jab when Oscar used it i can see a prime Tommy hearns and 2002 Vernon Forrest beating Floyd rather easy. Oscar is 5-10 with basically the same reach as Floyd, but was able to snap Floyd's head back when he wanted to with the jab. The problem was Oscar did not keep doing what was working.

Hearns is 6-1 with long arms and has that consistent snapping jab that would have closed Floyd's eye shut. He would have followed up with the right and eventually knocked Floyd out. Maybe Floyd last 12 rounds because he would get very defensive and just look to survive.

Floyd would beat Forrest, and Hearns would probably catch him sooner or later.

But Mayweather showed a fantastic chin and some great defense, so maybe Hearns wouldnt catch him.

I dont see many fighters being able to deal with a welterweight Hearns.

I said this in another thread. Oscar's jab was so overrated in that fight. It worked so well because he seldomly threw it. It would just catch Floyd off guard whenever he did. If he wouldve tried to jab him all fight then that wouldnt have worked. Oscar never threw it so Floyd would stand a certain way and then the jab would catch him off guard. If he threw it all fight then Floyd wouldve easily took that away from him just like he took that left away.

Also, dont compare fights because its totally different. Floyd would fight those guys a different way then he fought Oscar. Hearns was strictly a Offensive fighter. He was great but people dont remember how flawed he was on Defense and how weak his chin was. It was the same for Forrest. Neither of them wouldve blocked the punches Oscar did last night either.

Again though, none of that matters because this is not Floyd's prime weight. Let them come down to 140 and Floyd whoops both of them

theres no way mayweather beats a 2002 forrest or a prime oscar or a prime mosley

and hearns would catch him sooner or later but hearns wouldnt have to rely on the ko he would defintely be winning rounds with his jab and mayweather back against the ropes

He would definetly beat every single one of those guys.

Mosley poses the biggest threat because of his style, and that would be a good fight.

But Mayweather would beat them. Just cause he's sloppy doesnt mean he isnt very skilled.

Hearns could maybe beat him, but that would be a dull fight IMO.

mayweather lost a competive fight against a not in his prime oscar last night i cant see how mayweather would be able to beat a prime oscar at 147 or vernon or mosley

not that i dont think skill wise and technique mayweather isnt better than those men but his smaller stature against prime verision of those men at welter weight would be to much for him to over come to much for him to mount a offense to win a decision

I think Floyd had the ability to couter some of Oscar jabs in the later round he was ducking some of the jabs and coming closer but didnt throw so i guess he was planning to couter him with the right after he duck Oscar jab.

THat trick will be hard on hearn because Hearn is really tall with good reach so he could do his action far away without Floyd getting close. I think iF Floyd get really close to Hearns then it would be harder for Hearns

Tommy had a weak chin, but look at the guys who knocked him out. Leonard and Hagler were strong punchers for there weight classes. Ray knocked him out late in the fight, Hagler was a natural 160 pounder and strong. Iran Barkley was a hard hitting 160 pounder.

Hearns would hold major advantages over floyd. 6-1 to 5-8 and a major reach advantage. I think he would nail Floyd with that jab all night long. Considering Floyd is not willing to engage and take risk like Ray Leonard,i think Tommy wins by a knockout or easy decision. Also in the middle of the ring it would be much harder to pot shot 154 pound Tommy in 1984 because of the reach.

Plus who has Floyd beaten to even be considered on Tommy's level? Hearns would have knocked out Baldomir ,Gatti and Zab Judah.

I think prime Oscar might have beat Floyd
Ray Robinson would have hurt him.
Pernell Whitaker would out point him.
Ike Quertey would have gave him a good fight but prob would have lost .
Trinidad would either ko him or lose .
                    Mosley i'm betting on.
Meldrick Taylor would take the fight to him and maybe win .
JCC would be beat on cuts or D
                    Pac has no chance
