Sugar Ray Leonard fought a smaller man on the run (Duran)...

Why is it a problem for Mayweather to fight bigger fighters on the run?

Ray Leonard boxed and moved against Duran in the No Mas fight and Duran was the naturally smaller fighter. Yet when Mayweather does it against Oscar, he's a little *****.

    Funny how stuff works.

leonard boxed and moved a lot and never got **** for it because he throws some crazy ass combos and was never afraid to exchange with anybody. Floyd doesnt stand and trade as often as leonard did especially when he started to move higher in weight. Thats how he survives against these bigger men and he does a damn good job of it. I can't hate on that I appreciate his deffense, movement, and accurate punching.

Floyd only backed up to avoid punches. He was mainly moving side-to-side and stood his ground most of the fight.

I don't fault Duran for fighting the way he fought. He was a great boxer, but did not have the reflexes of a Floyd Mayweather to stay in there with Leonard the entire night...

Most people say Floyd runs because of his movement and the fact they hate him so anytime he decides to circle around the guy and avoid getting trapped in the corner people consider it running because they want him to stand there and take uneccesary shots. Unfortunately for them Floyd isn't a dumbass like they are.

Then you're blind, he ran around in circles the whole fight. Both put on a **** performance... Damn, I really have to stop responding to these topics, this fight really hurt my head.

No, he should stand there and block and counter. Instead of doing a hit and run routine. If I wanted to watch track, I'd watch the olympics. This is called boxing, the whole idea is to hit the other man, not run around the whole fight and put everyone to sleep. It's suppose to be entertainment kind of like when you go watch a movie at the movie theatres.

The Mongolians made a living (in War) with a hit and retreat tactic, Floyd did the same, except for the butchering and ****.

me neither... unless using lateral movement and backing up=running all of a sudden. too bad, I always thought that was part of boxing.

There were a lot more clean shots landed in this fight than some people are saying...MAyweathers face was actually reddened, and I remember De La Hoya be buckled a few times momentarily from Mayweather's punches.

what i didnt like watching was mayweathers one shot at a time, when leonard used to throw combinations and run, floyd would throw one and then move... ever since he moved up in weight hes been doign that he never used to do that
