It appears that a couple of hundred people voted on the poll on this thread - but if you look at the poll on the main page of this website (bottom left hand side), where thousands of people voted, 43 % thought De La Hoya won, with only 40.8 % thinking that PBF won.

Personally, I thought PBF may have won a close decision, although I was rooting for DLH. I voted in this poll that it was a draw, because it was VERY close, and a challenger in a title fight should win decisively to take the title away.

But shouldn't a boxer who is supposed to be p4p #1 decisively defeat an inactive past prime boxer? I think Mayweather is a good defensive boxer but he's very overrated, and he would lose at welterweight to Cotto, Mosely, Clottey, Williams and Margarito.

Floyd won a CLEAR 115-113 decision in my eyes. I had it even through 8, Floyd then took over and outboxed Oscar while taking 3 of the next 4 rounds. Floyd is great at making small adjustments down the stretch of fights.

The fight was close, and either man had a shout for the result. Noone got robbed, but it wasn't that clear. At my house half of the guys scored for Floyd and half for De La Hoya, all of them had it real close.

So, the blacks scored it for floyd and the mexicans scored it for Oscar. Is that what you mean by half and half? This was a joke post, please don't get offended.

one of the rounds i gave him was pretty close...it could have been scored for mayweather. i remember having an even fight through 8, mayweather took the last four 3-1. it wasn't a blowout for floyd...there is no way oscar deserved a split. money talks.
