    Floyd Wins, Gains Little

i had the fight at 114-114. it was a close fight with a lot of close rounds. floyd had the better punchstats, oscar threw a lot of short flurries that stole a round or two, there were some times where floyd would land a couple of punches and move away, and it came up as a split decision for floyd.

    1. i dont believe for one second that this was floyds last fight. hes 30 years old, on top of the boxing world, p4p king, everyone wants to fight him, there is no ****ing way hes gonna walk away from all that money.

    2. floyd did not impress me tonight. he did his usual thing: snapped the jab once in a while, hardly threw a combo, stayed out of harms way, and when oscar pressured, he retreated. this was not the kind of win floyd needed. it was a close fight, a split decision, and floyd did not dominate at all.

    3. all this does for floyd is put another name on his record and another belt in his display case. it does not cement his legacy as the best fighter of our generation. kinda like rocky marciano's KO over joe louis.

    4. if oscar used his jab more often, we wouldve won the fight hands down. floyd had no answer to oscars jab. along with the jab, he shouldve used his right hand more often. his left hook is his best punch, but against floyd, it was useless.

    5. i dont care what floyd, his camp, or anybody on this site says, floyd is NOT the best fighter ever and i'd still be hesitant to put him in the top 10 of all time. best fighter today, yes. ever, no.

i would have preferred oscar to win, simply because floyd needs to be taught some humility. some1 needs to show him hes human. i think oscar's done. i think this was his last hurrah. floyd aint done, no way. this was a pretty decent fight with a close decision and honestly, i dont think it helped boxing at all. this fight was alot like the oscar/tito fight: a hugely hyped fight with a questionable ending that proved neither fight was who we thought they were.
