Floyd Fights On ESPN 2 Last Night!

Did any of you catch them? They showed the Gatti fight but weve already seen that a million times. However, they also showed his 1st pro bout, his 2nd pro bout, and has 13th pro bout. Ive never seen any of those fights. I started really watching him around his 5th pro fight I think and instantly he was my favorite fighter and Im not even a guy to sweat new guys.

Watching his 1st fight last night he looked way different then all the new guys who come out now. He was 10x more polished then today's young guys. He nearly looked like a vet from the jump. Even back then he had awsome D and great technique. These young guys today come in with good skill but you can see so many flaws. Even back then Floyd nearly looked flawless. The crazy thing was how Al Bernstien was saying that Floyd is a power puncher with tremendous one punch KO power. At 130 dude was a vicious puncher. He was killing guys with the left to the body and thats how he KO his 1st opponent.

The 2nd fight was different. He had alot of trouble in that fight. You know what the difference was? Dude was a Southpaw. I think thats the fight that afterwards his dad said "dont ever put him in with a southpaw again". Ofcourse he never fought another lefty until the Chop Chop fight. Its also funny how the only times he's really ever been stunned was against Chop and a little against Zab. Thats why I find it ****** when people say that if those guys can hurt Floyd then you know Oscar will be able to really hurt him and he will finish Floyd if he gets him hurt. They fail to realize that Floyd only got hurt & caught clean because they were lefty's who caught him with blind punched. I dont believe a righty can hit Floyd clean and I dont even think Oscar's left will be a factor because Floyd's Defensive stance is based around having your right hand covering the right side of your face. He never gets hit with that punch.

The fights were funny because Floyd did alot of trash talking and the crowd would boo him

i have his career set on 7 dvds. i know all of his fights like the back of my hand at this point in time, which is why i can argue for him and defend his legacy with actual facts unlike many people on here. dlt, it's like arguing with a bunch of girls, it gets nowhere man. i'm glad you're apart of this forum just like black jesus and mayweather 90 and more people who actually know boxing and don't just base my arguments off of attitude.

dlt, oscar is a natural lefty, so while he does not fight from a southpaw stance the way he punches is driven by a lefty brain (that's why his right is not what it should be among other things,
KINDA like hagler in reverse) so i think the comparison is not completely unreasonable.

I was lucky enough to stumble across the fights last night. I have to agree, his first fight was very impressive. His speed and reflexes topped off with power were already visible.

I watched last night...and he was great. You also saw his other side, sticking his tongue out and showboating.Which is my problem with Floyd...he's so good he does not need all the bullcrap. He is about the most talented fighter I have ever see,and I will root for him tonight...but the naked truth is,he's an *******.I just wished he would not make it so hard to root for him.

If anyone wants i can post up the you tube link to bert sugar radio interview on this fight.

Now im not a fan of burt sugar,

But when he was asked about Floyd out of the ring, he said words to this effect

' I know him, he's a good kid, sure he's ****y, he's playing the bad guy to sell the fight, '
