    Cristobal Arreola

This guy Cris Arreola is very aggressive - the fans loved what they saw last night. He KOed Malcolm Tann, a powerfully built boxer who'd never been stopped before. I think Arreola is a potential titleholder.

Eddie Chambers got by a tough opponent in Guinn, so I think he's ready to fight some of the better heavyweights. I'd like to see him in with a European up and comer like Oleg Platov, or a veteran like DaVarryl Williamson.

Malik Scott, like several other young boxers, needs to face better opponents before we can judge him. There's quite a number of young heavyweights who have brilliant records, but who've never fought anybody in the top 50. Scott, JD Chapman, and Roman Greenberg and several others need to pass a test like Cris and Eddie did last night, so then we'll know if they're for real.

Was the Chambers-Guinn fight entertaining or was it just 'boxing clinic.' And I'm glad that Arreola knocked his opponent out; it shows that he wants to exciting to fans. As for title shots, I hope these two don't go into 'hibernation' like some contenders do when they're waiting for a shot.

Arreola looked great last night against Tann. He was landing clean shots all night long and then finally in the ninth Tann had enough and was knocked through the ropes. I like Arreola's aggressive style, the fans seemed to love it as well. Tann would have been better served if he would have boxed, but "The Nightmare" forced him to fight. Arreola looks like he has a bright future in the HW division. Only thing I worry about is that his aggressive style will catch up to him against a top HW with power. Tann caught him with some good shots, but he didn't have enough power to hurt Chris. Other than that he looked pretty good.

Thanks for the scouting report. The division needs more aggressive fighters like Arreola and Povetkin and less of non-aggressive safe fighters like Thompson and Chambers. I hope Arreola continues fighting frequently and step up his opposition and doesn't go into hibernation like other contenders do when they get ranked in the top ten by a sanctioning body.

            Win by KO

Yes, to maintain and increase the popularity of boxing, we need exciting fighters who go for the KO like Cristobal Arreola, Lamon Brewster, Wlad Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin instead of the John Ruiz, Eddie Chambers and Malik Scott "go for the decision" types.

the Chambers Guinn fight was not very exciting because niether fighter was good. They both tended to spend a lot of time in the inside and not throwing punches. Chambers is an ex-middle weight who has a decent offense but a crappy defense. He covers up but doesnt move his head. When he get in with a real heavyweight with power hes gonna kiss the floor.

i agree 100 percent, guinn has been finished since his embarassing loss to tony thompson, now all thats left for him is to be a "name" on young guys' resumes. hes an attractive low-risk opponent too cause he fights about 15 seconds of every minute.

as for chambers, he is slick and its nice to see a heavy box well, but hes a step away from being exposed. not only does he not move his head, but he just doesent move period when playing defense, just looks for well placed counter shots.. a stong guy will just overwhelm him and shrug off his counters.

I've been following Tann from day one, and never thought he had any real prospects. He fights scared and isn't aggressive enough. He doesn't jab and can't throw a right hand. His chin is also soft. AHEMROBERTHAWKINSAHEM

Good win for Arreola, who should fight Matt Nipple for the distinction of being the breast heavyweight in the world.

Chambers is good, very good. But he's only 210 and a blown up cruiserweight. In this day and age, he can't beat the top guys like Wladimir or Briggs. He fought a small heavyweight in Guinn, which is why that factor didn't materialize.

Did anybody notice that one judge gave Eddie Chambers every round? Nobody on Showtime acknowledged it but that's a stretch. Chambers won but the sixth round was all Guinn. I like Arreola he looked really good and he could actually be a threat at the heavyweight level. Chambers looked good for a small guy although he lacks punching power keep in mind Guinn was suppossed to be good. I'd like to see both Chambers and Arreola duke it out for the title as the best heavyweight prospect.
