De La Hoya vs. Mayweather Discussion (Merged Threads)

Doesn't look good for PBF! As everyone know PBF likes to gear heavily padded gloves to cover up all the time. This time he is obligated to gear up with Reyes. Oh..PBF...your first record blemish is finally here!

Lol. This has been known for a long time. There will be a smaller ring and Floyd has to wear Reyes. I don't know why they are saying it again.

Mayweather has worn Winning gloves to protect his hands not to cover up.

Delahoya is so insecure of victory that he wants every advantage that he can get. Which seems to be a trend for him in these last few years. He even fought for the 160 lb championship with a catchweight of 157.

The Reyes won't be a problem since he will probably wrap the **** out of his hands... But why is it Oscar's fault if Mayweather agreed to this "unfair advantage" Thats on his dumb ass for signing the contract the way it was... Maybe he should read **** before he signs it... After all he said he didn't.

Usually the hand wrappers trade and look at the other opponents hands to see if its right.so wrapping them alot alot, because that would be a unfair advantage in both ways. protect hands, and a harder hand.

Is there a limit on the amount of gauze a fighter can wear? I hope that either fighters hands do not become a factor in this one. I'd hate to see Floyd go into defensive mode more than he already does.

He can only wrap his hands soooo much. You know the NSAC will check to see if the wrapping on Floyd's hands are legal. Remember Bernard's beef with Trinidad wrapping his hands into a cast!!??!! Yea, so watch that tonite.

I still think Floyd will win. And then go on to fight Mosley and kick his ass. I hate Floyd so much guys, but I always go for the underdog/outcast/non-popular fighter.

Yeah theres a limit,u can put alittle stuff on wraps to make them hard, now imagine if u have alot of gauze on it.U would have hands of stone.

So, thats the excuse Floyds going to use when he loses. This geek didn't have to take the fight.
