So you are saying the world knew Floyds name before this fight? LMAO. Unless you are a hardcore fan people didn't know who the **** he was. which is the reason why he really wasn't selling.. The best P4P and he can't even sell out the city he lives in on his own!

P.S This are Delahoya's PPV sales. How many does Mayweather have? 1 or 2?
We wont know who sold the fight until after we get the ppv results back.
Either way, its clear that this fight being as big as it is has alot to do with Floyd, because as those numbers show, Oscar needs a good opponent to sell fights, he cant do it by himself.

Ofcoarse it takes 2 but your lying to yourself if you think Mayweather is even 50% of the draw. Realistic numbers would point more to 80% to 20% Id even believe 70% to 30%.
Oh and the majority of people tune in to a Mayweather fight to see if he loses.

Compared to other fighters, Floyds numbers were excellent.
And also, you can know who a fighter is without buying their ppv.

I dont think Floyd was 50% of the original allure to the fight, but he has gotten a TON of press and once people get to know him they either love him or hate him, and both of those types of people are going to watch him fight.
Obviously Oscar is number 1, but Floyd is pulling alot more weight than people give him credit for imo.

He is more of a "Look who Oscar is fighting" kinda deal.
To us fans Floyd is big but to "casual fans" which means the majority of PPV purchases dont really know him yet.
Maybe if he does what he promises, like stands toe to toe and wins by stoppage he will be a big draw, someday.
You and I both know that isnt gonna happen though.

this is a de la hoya fight, not a mayweather fight... hate to break it to whoever believes mayweather is the headliner here. he did a great job at creating the controversy though, will be a great night.

right, and because oscar is fighting such a good opponent, the fight is really big.
