Floyd - Genuine A**Hole or Media Persona ??

Tito Ortiz in the UFC has cultivated this bad boy personna purely as a marketing tool to sell tickets to his fights. And it has worked ! I never wanted anyone to lose more than when Tito lost to Randy and then Chuck. Now by all accounts, tito is a really a top bloke and nothing like the image he portrays.

Now Floyd is cultivating a similar image, a mouthy , disrespectful prick who many many people now want to see KTFO ! Now normally i would think that Floyd was mostly putting this image on for the media BUT it is his f**ked up family and seeing how much of a bum his dad is that makes me think that Floyd is genuinely a ****head, maybe not as big a ****head as he ponys up when the camera is on him but still a ****head.

    Thoughts ?

I feel that he is a nice guy inside. His dad even said that he is a nice kid, but the person he sees on TV he doesnt know. I've seen him in interviews where he has been very respectful. I remember when he was on Cold Pizza during the SuperBowl. I watched because I thought he was gonna be talking **** and all that, but he was very respectful toward DLH. I feel most of is a show to sell the fight.

          Probably both.

Like many great boxers, I would guess that he has a very dark and cruel side to him.

He's an idiot... why does he say thinks? And why does he talk like a complete moron? Did hip-hop/rap do this to our generation or is floyd just a good fighter and not really an intelligent person to hold a normal conversation with?

as far as sports, i think boxers are the most approachable. i dont know if thats the case with floyd, but when i met roy, who has a similar boxing persona, it was the case. he took pictures, signed stuff and chilled a bit. no security, no entourage, it was all good.

thats what i mean, for the most part they are good people. i forget who met cliff ettiene on this site, but he said that he was a genuinly good guy and was shocked that he would do something like that.
