Boxing Makes the Cover of Sports Illustrated

To the best of my knowledge, the last boxer to make the cover was Mike Tyson before the Lennox Lewis fight.

It's nice to see, but i wouldn't say i'm thrilled about "The fight to save boxing" part.

People just think too much from an American perspective.

Boxing may be a "dying sport" in America, but not as a whole.

On ESPN magazine and Sports Illustrated???
As well as the 1.4 million viewers of the first episode of 24/7?
This fight has the potential to bring boxing back.

Hopefully the fight at least lives up to half the hype. If it turns out to be a cat and mouse stinker, it could set things further back in terms of boxing's main stream popularity.
